Earlier today I had a call from a client wanting to set up an exchange account on a new laptop.
However, when I opened Vista’s Control Panel I found that the mail icon was not there. Without this you are unable to open the Outlook profile properties and configure the accounts.
After some searching i found that Vista Home x64 bit edition has a second Control Panel window with the Java and Mail icons. To get to it - open Control Panel and click on 32 Bit Control Panel items. You can then configure an exchange account as normal. This applies to any Vista x64 Bit Edition Operating System.
