iPhone requires a passcode after adding an email account.

If you have recently configured your iPhone or iTouch with your work email address and your company uses Small Business Server or SBS 2008 then you may well be experiencing a very annoying problem! (We discovered this when working with one of our clients in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire).
Once you have configured your iPhone or iTouch (as per our instructions here) you are required to enter a ‘passcode’ every few minutes in order to use your iPhone. To resolve this issue you need to make some changes to your Exchange server as follows.
Making changes to your server should not be undertaken lightly as making the wrong changes will cause catastrophic problems. If you do not feel confident doing this please contact us and we can arrange to do this for you.

Exchange Management Console > Organization Configuration > Client Access > Windows SBS Mobile Mailbox Policy > Password.

Please be aware that switching off the passcode altogether means that you cannot remotely wipe the handset if lost or stolen.
